Barclays
The Step Ahead campaign
The Step Ahead campaign kicked off in July 2007 with a commitment by Barclays Bank Zambia staff to raise funds for the Federation for the Blind tailoring and Knitting project, and the Zambia Malaria Foundation education book on Malaria. The project is aimed at empowering the community with skills in tailoring and knitting. The book project aims to sensitise all school going children across Zambia with information on causes and prevention of Malaria. Six local walks were held and a total of K500,000,000.00 (£641,025.64) was raised through various fundraising activities in different Barclays Branches.
