Cairo – January 6th 2009
Barclays Bank–Egypt recently offered a distinguished bouquet of services in cooperation with American Life Insurance Company (ALICO) – a company under the American International Group(AIG) – through the "Sehaty" card, the latest addition to Barclays' services and products for retail banking clients.
The "Sehaty" card includes a package of healthcare and medical services through which the bank is offering an added value to its clients. The reason behind this added value is that those services are considered the basic needs that individuals seek to obtain for themselves and their families.
Sehaty members can benefit from a variety of advantages, including medical discounts ranging between 5% and 30% on medical fees in a distinguished group of hospitals, radiology centers, laboratories, ophthalmologists and physiotherapy clinics. In addition, they will benefit from the Second Medical Opinion service that is considered one of the most important services that makes "Sehaty" a unique one. The second opinion service allows access to medical advice and an electronic report from the largest medical institutions in the USA once a year for illness cases that the program covers.
Beneficiaries up to 64 years old as well as their close relatives can benefit from the "Sehaty" package of services. Sehaty members also get a EGP 50,000 insurance certificate in case of death, in addition to a free annual medical check up service that starts at the date of subscription to the service.
Bassel Kelada, Consumer Banking Director, Barclays Bank Egypt, confirmed that "The bank is currently working on offering a variety of banking services and products that provide more facilities and safety to its clients, whether they are insurance programs, payment cards, or loans. Our clients all across Egypt will have easy access to these services through the banks' wide network of 64 branches that are dispersed throughout the whole country. The bank has always been cooperating with international companies in joint services to guarantee the highest level of services to its clients."
Barclays Bank–Egypt was keen on providing access to this service in 19 cities including Greater Cairo (Cairo, Giza and 6th of October), Alexandria, El–Gouna, Mansoura, Tanta, Suez, Marsa Matrouh, Sharqiya, Assiut, and Fayom.
