24 hour access
When you open a Current Account you will receive a debit card which allows access to your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our cash machines. But that is not all. If you have any other account with Barclays you can use your card to withdraw cash from that account as well.
No minimum balance
With a Current Account you do not need to maintain a minimum balance in your account. However you will need to be earning a specified minimum monthly net income to open the account. Please contact one of our Personal Bankers for more details.
Conveinent bills payment
If you have regular monthly bills e.g. rent or insurance premiums, we can set up standing orders from your Current Account to do this rather than paying cash. Alternatively, you can use your cheque book.
Other services
The Current Account gives you easy access to a wide range of other products and services including international services, savings and personal loans.
How to apply
To open a Current Account simply complete an application form and hand it over to a Personal Banker at your nearest Barclays branch. You will need to show evidence of your identity such as a Driving Licence, ID card or a valid passport. You will also need a copy of your payslip or letter from your employer.
