Commercial strives to maintain a world-class banking service to meet the ever-changing needs of business clients, both residents and non-residents of Mauritius. The department is composed of three main functions: the Corporate Domestic, International Banking Division (offshore) and Asset Finance. The Division is headed by the Commercial Director Vishuene Vydelingum.

Corporate Domestic caters for the varied banking needs of businesses residing in Mauritius through three main departments namely Large Corporate, Business Banking and Small Enterprises (SME).

Large Corporate serves clients with a turnover of above MUR 350m, Business banking service for the range of a turnover between MUR 60 and MUR 350m, whereas SME handles business with a turnover below MUR 60m.

1) Large Corporate

We aim to deliver unmatched relationship banking to local business residents through a solution oriented focus. Barclays Bank PLC – Mauritius Corporate Division is staffed by a dynamic, experienced and innovative team of managers, who deal exclusively with major corporate bodies, encompassing a broad spectrum of business enterprises, SMEs, Large Corporates including parastatals and companies listed on the Stock Exchange. Barclays Bank PLC – Mauritius Corporate Banking has become a true centre of excellence and we are proud of the partnership service we deliver.

Each corporate customer is served by a personalized Relationship Manager who can provide local and international information on the market insights, major development projects, and advice on matters such as commercial paper issues, syndication and any other business relevant information. We also provide tailor made solutions for Property Finance, Project Finance, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Treasury and other banking products.

2) SME BANKING
