SME Initiatives

At Barclays it is our aim to see our customers grow with us. SME is one of the sectors that we at Barclays are focusing on and dedicating resources to it because we recognise that the overall growth of the economy depends on the ability of individuals and businesses to invest and grow.
Barclays Bank has made a strategic decision to support SMEs in order to positively contribute to the uplifting of welfare within the community

We have, therefore, tailored our products appropriately. We are the first and only bank in Uganda to offer unsecured lending to businesses. We also offer vehicle and asset financing, which makes it possible for you to purchase vehicles and equipment in an affordable way. Other initiatives include;

• Business Club Events: foreign exposure business trips, educational and networking seminars with renowned high profile business leaders.
• Events with Alliance Partners: Eg. Private Sector Foundation Uganda, Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association Ltd, Enterprise Uganda, Uganda.
• Barclays Sponsored events, expos, and exhibitions as a part of our committed support for entrepreneurship and SME development.
