Barclays
Barclays has long provided overseas custodial services to its major institutional clients. Our formal, structured overseas custody businesses were established over 30 years ago. In Africa we commenced operation in 1993 and today lead the way in providing a full range of services to meet the requirements of professional institutional investors.
Barclays Securities Administration (BSA), a product management team
operating out of Johannesburg, SA, supports the services provided by each
custody operation in Africa. BSA was set up in the UK in 1997 to
support, assist, arrange and co-ordinate custody services provided
by our sub-Saharan sites from one central point, dealing with client
needs, market developments, due diligence, compliance and competitive
challenges. In 2003 the BSA Team relocated to Johannesburg in order to operate closer to the rest of Africa.
Barclays is committed to the development of a sophisticated service in Africa's emerging markets.
Solutions to your custodial requirements can be provided in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Mauritius and Zimbabwe.
International Institutional Investors can contact Barclays Securities Administration in Johannesburg. Domestic Institutional Investors can contact the local country Head of Securities Services.
