24 hour access

When you open an Instant Savings Account you will receive a cash card which allows you access to your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our cash machines. But that is not all. If you have any other account with Barclays you can use your card to withdraw cash from that account as well.

Minimum balance required

There is a minimum opening balance on this account and a minimum operating balance. If the balance goes below the minimum operating balance, a monthly fee may be charged until the balance is topped up to be above the minimum balance. You will also receive no interest payments during this period.

How to apply

To open an Instant Savings Account simply complete the application form and hand it over to a Personal Banker at your nearest Barclays branch who can answer any questions you may have. A specified minimum balance is required to open and maintain this account.

You will need to show evidence of your identity such as a Driving Licence, metal or plastic National Identity Card or a valid passport. You will also need to produce a copy of your latest proof of residence which can either be utility bills, letter of introduction from an existing customer or a bank statement from another commercial bank.
