  • Barclays uses a wide range of tools including competency, biographical, interpersonal and technical based interviews, as well as assessment centres and role based or psychological assessments in order to give us the best idea of how you are likely to perform at Barclays, and gives us insight into whether the position is one that you will enjoy. The number and type of interviews and assessments you complete will depend on the role that you have applied for as well as the corporate division and geographical location of the role.

    As a guide, experienced applicants may be asked about specific situations that they have encountered at work whereas early careers applicants may use situational examples from school, college, work experience or other non-work related organisations. Make sure you listen to the question asked and answer questions fully. Answers are best kept concise - two to three minutes at the most. Show confidence in yourself and your work, be positive and focus on your accomplishments in addition to the qualities and abilities that make you the best candidate.
