With many banks it can sometimes be a long and difficult process to open a new account. At Barclays International, we offer a guided service to help make this process as quick and easy for you as possible.

We'll take you through the application form over the phone, helping to ensure we have all the information we need to process your application swiftly. It will take around 15 minutes for us to go through the form with you, but of course if you've got additional queries we'll be happy to help for longer. And, if you want to save your call costs, we'll even phone you back.

Once we've completed your application form, we will post or fax the completed form to you to sign.

Having signed the application form, you can either take it to a convenient Barclays branch or post it back to us, along with the additional documents needed to complete your application.

If you choose to visit a Barclays branch, you will need to take the following documents with you

Your passport or EU Country National Identity Card.
Evidence of your Principal Residential Address, such as a bank statement or a utility bill.

We will be happy to let you know your closest Barclays so you can pop in when it suits you.

If you choose to return your application by post, you will need to get your identification documents copied and verified independently and send the certified copies back to us with your completed application form.
