Vim Maru

Vim Maru is Chief Executive of Barclays UK. He is a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Vim joined Barclays on 1 February 2023 as Global Head of Consumer Banking and Payments before assuming his current role on 20 February 2024.
He has worked in financial services for over 20 years. Prior to joining Barclays, he spent 11 years at Lloyds Banking Group, latterly as the Group Director for Retail and 12 years at Santander UK in a range of roles. Vim is a Chartered Accountant, and has previously served on the FCA’s Practitioner Panel, HM Treasury’s Financial Inclusion Policy Forum and the Money and Pensions Service Advisory Group.
